Ghost Scene Analysis

In Zeffirellis version the scene of Hamlet chasing the apparition had a paranoid feeling to it. Hamlet searched around frantically for the ghost and as he went around for it he peeked around every corner as if it would pop out and scare him at any moment. Once Hamlet reached the ghost the setting gave the the talking scene an eerie feel, also the fact that there was no music and a kind of ominous sound instead gave it more a chill.The ghost had a sad depressing presence which made him seem sad and made me feel pity for him.

In the second movie there was an extremely intense chase which was a very different approach from the other movies.The chase also had an exciting, flavorful sense to it.The ghost had an angrier and scarier presence than the ghosts from the other scenes which made him seem less approachable, and his eyes were bright blue which made him seem colder.

I believe the ghost in the final scene had a much more hostile feeling about him. He seemed to have sort of a killing intent like his anger was uncontrollable, it seemed that way probably because he was the most physical and had the most interaction with Hamlet out of the the two others , and the way he constantly dabbed his ear made him a creepy dude. He made it appear that the poison was still affecting him. There were certain things in the room that symbolized the anger that the ghost had and the vengeance that he wanted  like the fire on the tv and the newspaper talking about the future of Denmark industries.

Out of the three I would prefer the original the most because it seems to fit the book more accurately than the others and it seems more original to me rather than trying to bring modern day acting into it and keeping it old school instead.

I hate how Marry Warren tries to justify herself when clearly shes wrong, and even if shes not wrong she was accused of also being a witch aand she got out of it by accusing someone else. The way that this village handles things is so stupid its just accusation after accusation to save yourself.

Page 1257 "No man has ever been blamed for so much. If a cow was missed, the first thought was to look for her around Corey's house."

To be in a situation where you are blamed for everything is one of the worst. The people in this village have a knack for blaming people for their problems  instead of trying to solve it first,  for example the village first assumes that it's Giles doing for whenever something is missing or something is broken and in the Parris residents its Tituba . I feel bad for these people since it seems like everyone is always against them, its like they can never get ahead.
